Date: 05/09/2011 | Posted by John Garton
This new product from the Jersey Dairy range had previously only been available to a limited number of individual ice cream retailers. Now it is being supplied to wholesalers in the London area, the South-West, South-East and North-East, the Midlands, Oxford and Northern Ireland.
The Head of Marketing and Sales at Jersey Dairy, Christopher Journeaux, said: “We decided to produce soft ice cream after being inundated with requests over the years to create a natural soft mix ice cream that parents could trust to give to their children. Years of experience supplying tourists visiting Jersey with the finest quality, creamy ice cream means we are confident that we can supply something really delicious and special to the UK market.”

Jersey Dairy and the Jersey Herd can trace their history back to 1763. The Jersey Cow has a unique pure pedigree stemming from generations of living in the lush meadows and pastures of the Island.
The Jersey is the second-most popular dairy cow in the world. She has the richest milk and highest percentage of butterfat and protein with 18% more protein, 20% more calcium and 25% more butterfat and a higher concentration of minerals and vitamins than other cow. The Jersey cow also produces more milk per pound of bodyweight than any other breed, helping Jersey Dairy to create a wide range of popular, quality products including yoghurts, butter and, of course, cream.
