The Genuine Jersey Simply Christmas Markets return to Royal Square (with kind permission of the Bailiff of Jersey) for four weeks of four-day festive weekends from Thursday 20 November to Sunday 14 December 2025.
For the third consecutive year, the markets have been recognised internationally - featured in Lonely Planet’s guide to the Best Christmas Markets in Europe - celebrating Jersey’s distinctive, home-grown approach to the festive season.
John Garton, Chief Executive of Genuine Jersey, said: “We’re thrilled to be recognised by Lonely Planet again, especially because our markets aren’t a copy-and-paste of anywhere else. Every stall is run by a Jersey maker or producer who can tell you how it was made. That connection matters. It’s what makes Simply Christmas feel personal rather than generic and we’re sure is why people come back year after year.”
Across the four weekends, more than 80 local artisans and producers will rotate through the square with handcrafted gifts, seasonal food and drink, artwork, jewellery, skincare and island-grown produce. Visitors can also expect live local music, hot food and a welcoming, festive atmosphere in the heart of St Helier. As you wander through the stalls, you can chat with the local artisans who have spent countless hours perfecting their craft. Many of whom have been working for months—some even since last Christmas—to create beautiful products for this event.
Genuine Jersey also thanks its Christmas Market sponsors — Signtech (CI), the Government of Jersey, and Jersey Mutual — whose support helps keep stallholder costs down and enables the markets to continue growing as a celebration of local creativity and enterprise.
